Red Wing has passed the 'first of its kind' law in Minnesota. Only one other city in America has passed this law. Let's hope it expands to be nationwide soon.

The city council passed a law that makes it a hate crime for anyone who harms a police officer. City officials cited the increased violence and criticism against police officers, not only nationwide, but here in Minnesota, too, where Black Lives Matter protesters recently chanted "Pigs in a blanket, fry 'em like bacon," during a march at the State Fair. They should all be ashamed of themselves.

Warren County, Ohio, is the other city in America to adopt a resolution like that. Do you think that is something that should be passed here in Rochester? I do. What are your thoughts? - Alan (KROC-AM News Dept.)
