If you've ever watched the show 'Rehab Addict' on HGTV, then you know the show's star, Nicole Curtis, lives, for at least part of the year, in Minneapolis. The show focuses on her buying and remodeling older homes. She's very passionate about saving these classic properties. So passionate, in fact, that she's recently been involved in an online spat with the mayor of Minneapolis over the demolition of just such a property.

BringMeTheNews has the full story HERE on how a classic property was recently demolished-- and how Curtis called out both her representative on the Minneapolis city council as well as the mayor on her Facebook page. This, of course, resulted in many negative, personal comments about both the mayor and city council member by some people who follow Curtis' page. Those comments, in turn, upset the mayor, who then said Curtis wasn't doing anything to discourage the personal attacks. Curtis fired back at the mayor, and things proceeded back and forth, like a slow speed online tennis match.

I've always enjoyed watching any of the 'Rehab Addict' episodes that were based around a home in Minneapolis. It was kind of cool to know that, instead of California or New York like many TV shows, this one took place right here in Minnesota. I also always found myself trying to see if I knew any of the Twin Cities locations that ended up on the show. And, seeing as Nicole Curtis had expressed interest last year in saving the former Chardonnay House here in Rochester (although that ultimately didn't work out, and the home was torn down last summer), my ears perked up with I saw that Nicole was involved in an online feud with some Minneapolis city leaders. I'll be interested to see how this turns out.

Here's a video background on Nicole, and what her show is about...
