I always wondered what it would be like to be a performer at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. I love seeing the smiles on peoples faces when you make them happy. Do you love to do the same? Can you act? Juggle? Perform?

There will be 2 tryouts for the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. The Minnesota Renaissance Festival is pleased to announce auditions for the 2016 season. The auditions will be held on the Minnesota Renaissance Festival grounds on Saturday, April 23rd & May 7th from 10am-2pm.

The Minnesota Renaissance Festival wants musicians, bands, performance ensembles, actors, dancers, singers, acrobats, stage combat aficionados, and unique characters, of all shapes and sizes, to showcase their special talents. No experience is necessary, and no skill is too small.

Participants interested in becoming a costumed street performer/character will be interviewed, asked to do some cold reading and if accepted, will be invited to participate in the Renaissance training Academy. The festival provides a character-building academy to help foster the skills, fortitude, and excitement that bring to life our unique craft of interactive street performance.

In the past several years, they have added unbelievable new acts: escape artists, Shakespearian stage actors, fairies, mermaids, and a cavalcade of street characters. Are you their next big thing?
