Here's more information about Brandi:

Brandi is a seven year old spayed brown and white Pomeranian. Please read her bio thoroughly she has been traumatized as a puppy mill dog and is looking for a very special person.

Brandi was adopted previously from SDR and recently surrendered by her owners. They felt she would do better in a family that had more time to work with her shyness. Brandi is extremely shy and needs a very patient family that understands that it could take her a very long time to earn her trust. Brandi currently will not let you get near her, to touch her, pick her up, or put on her leash.

Brandi is a very sweet and playful girl! She loves playing fetch! She could do this endlessly. Even though she is very shy she will very rarely lick her fosters hand permit being petted. She will then let her foster pet her. She walks very well on a leash and uses a potty pad during the day. She will alert her foster that she needs to go out by staring at them and sometimes whines.

Brandi gets along very well with other dogs. But, would do best in a family as a only dog or possibly one other well adjusted dog to insure she gets all the time and attention she will need to eventually come out of her shell. A fenced yard is also a requirement for Brandi.

Her new family needs to really understand that Brandi is not a lap dog due to her fear of being picked up. But with the right training this may help her earn their trust. Brandi seems to really want to be part of the family and join the other dogs on her fosters lap but is unsure so she keeps her distance.

Could Brandi be the latest member of your family? If you’d like more information about adopting Brandi or about becoming a volunteer, check out the Small Dog Rescue of Minnesota’s website HERE.
