Rosie is a special-needs dog, so here's her complete bio, courtesy of the Small Dog Rescue of Minnesota:

"Rosie is a 5-year-old Shih Tzu. She has been with us since November 2015 and we have two smaller dogs. She is extremely dominate with other dogs, barks at our dogs, and will try to show her stuff when other dogs visit. Rosie will do best in a home without any other pets. She definitely is a cuddler, loves people, and would do best with someone who is either retired or works from home. She will hide from our five-year-old grandson. An all adult home or one with older children will be best for her.

We do not know how she is on a leash and would do best in a fenced in yard. She does have a tendency to shake whenever she is afraid. Rosie has a few toys that she plays with when no one wants to play with her. She is currently being feed three times a day to help her gain some weight. She will sleep either on the bed or on the couch at night and find her way to the bedroom.

Rosie has some special needs. She is completely blind in her left eye and her vision in her right eye has diminished to the point of her being almost 100% blind. This will present some extra special challenges as she will need to learn where everything is as she becomes accustomed to her new environment. I expect Rosie will have accidents inside until she can "sense "where things are located. Her hearing is excellent, as are her other senses. She needs to have someone home with her during the day and sleeps with us and our gang at night.

Her day begins between 5am and 6am. She heads out an does her business right away, has breakfast then will go back to sleep for a couple more hours. When she awakes, we put her out again. She really is a sweetheart, just needs to be the only dog and someone should be with her most of the day.

She is up-to-date with her vaccinations, and is spayed, Rosie is searching for a very special forever home!!!"
