Ann B Davis, who played Alice (the maid) on the beloved '70s TV series "The Brady Bunch", has died.

The 88-year-old died as a result of hitting her head after a fall in her bathroom early Sunday morning. Ann did not regain consciousness after the fall.

CNN reports the actress experienced a subdural hematoma as a result of the fall.

Her death comes as a complete surprise, considering she had just told her roommate goodnight.

Friends of Ann from her church are in the process of arranging the actress' funeral.

Ann was cast as the popular maid Alive opposite Florence Henderson and Robert Reed in 1969, until the show was cancelled in 1974. She also appeared in spin-off versions of the show. (The Rooster)
