As they always say, there are two season in Minnesota: Winter and road construction. And, while we've certainly seen our share of road construction here in southeastern Minnesota this summer, now construction is set to take place on a busy stretch of Highway-52, starting Tuesday.

According to the Post-Bulletin, when you're heading south from the Twin Cities, get ready for some headaches, as traffic will be restricted to one lane for around 5 miles south of Pine Island, as crews repair portions of the concrete along that stretch of the highway.

The work is slated to last two weeks, but will only affect southbound traffic. The story says, "Diamond Surface Inc., of Rogers, is the contractor for the work. Diamond also will be conducting concrete repair work in the Kasson and Dodge Center areas on U.S. Highway 14 and Highway 57, and in the Red Wing area on Highway 58."

As always, MnDOT reminds you to be cautious in the work zone. And for general traffic and travel information in Minnesota, check out www.511mn.org.
