Rochester, MN - (KROC AM News) -The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident that may have involved a man posing as a police officer.

A 17-year-old Eyota girl says she was pulled over around 1 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of County Roads 6 and 8, southwest of Stewartville and near I-90.

The teen says a man wearing a uniform and badge asked if she had any drugs or weapons in the car. He took her drivers license and sat in his vehicle for about 5 minutes. He then returned the license and she drove off.

The teen says the man’s vehicle looked like a police car and had flashing red and blue lights. She says he did not say who he worked for or why he stopped her. After talking to her father about the incident, she contacted the sheriff’s office around 6 p.m. Sunday.

Olmsted County investigators sent a notice to area law enforcement agencies who may have had an officer in the area but have not heard from any of them.
