One-third of adults surveyed by fearapy.com showed signs of Iatrophobia which is fear of the doctor. The phobia site found 33.3% of the 1,369 people surveyed avoided going to the doctor because they had a negative experience and provided these tips for overcoming that fear.

If you have kids there's an easy way to teach them that doctors are good and are there to help. OMC is hosting their annual Teddy Bear Clinic at the Olmsted Medical Hospital’s Women’s Health Pavilion on Saturday, November 10th between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Kids are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animal in for a free check-up. The doctors will examine the toy's heart and lungs, demonstrate car seat safety, talk about the importance of nutrition and more.

This is a FUN educational event so don't worry about being bored. Plus, if your child completes each station they can enter to win a giant teddy bear.

The event is free but you must pre-register. You can sign up here.
