It's no surprise that Rochester is continually rated near the top when it comes to many national surveys-- it's a great place to live, right? Well, we've just landed in the top ten of a new survey of the Fittest Cities in the United States.

That's right, give yourself a big congrats, fellow Med City residents-- we're officially residents of the 8th Fittest City in the country!

At least that's what a new survey done by Fitbit says. According to a Post-Bulletin story, Fitbit-- the maker of activity trackers-- looked at a ton of data from 2016 to put together the rankings-- stuff like daily steps, active minutes, resting heart rate and sleep duration.

If you have a Fitbit, like I've had for about a year now, you know you're always looking at these rankings. And if you're like me, you're usually near the bottom of the rankings on your listing of Fitbit friends. (Wait-- that's just me that's always coming near last?!?)

Anyway, it's not just us in Rochester who Fitbit says are among the country's fittest-- Duluth actually landed at the top of the list. Must be all the hills along the North Shore. Meanwhile, Minneapolis came in at at #20, the story noted.

If you're looking to increase your steps, and have a great time, too, then check out this year's Insane Inflatable 5K, set for June 17th at Rochester International Airport! (Plus, use the promo code STJOHN10 to save $10 on each registration, too!)
