Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Two Rochester men were robbed of their phones during a home invasion Monday night and one of them had a gun pointed at him.

The incident happened around 7:00 PM at The Gates of Rochester Apartments on 41st St NW.

One of the victims told police a friend stopped by his apartment for a visit and moments later four or 5 masked men burst in and demanded his money and jewelry. When the 27-year-old victim told them he didn’t have any, he says the intruders took their phones.

The victim says he and his friend fled the apartment. His friend got away but the victim says the intruders caught up with him and began assaulting him. One also shoved a gun into his face before they ran off. The victim went to a neighbor’s home and called 911. He was taken to St. Marys Hospital to be treated for an ankle injury.

It was later discovered the intruders had also taken a video gaming system and some clothing items.
