Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  A Rochester man has been sentenced for a conviction stemming from an assault and robbery that happened last summer.

20-year-old Kenneth Maclin was on probation for a burglary involving a gun when investigators connected him to an attack on a man that left the victim with a broken leg.

Witnesses identified Maclin as one of three men who started punching a man in a car. When he tried to flee on foot, witnesses said the attackers knocked him to the ground and began punching and kicking him. Maclin was identified as the person who struck the victim with a bat and broke one of his legs before the attackers went through his pockets and fled in a stolen car.

Maclin has been given a stayed 21-month prison sentenced and ordered to pay $3,000 restitution.
