Rochester, MN (KROC AM News)  – A Rochester man was stabbed in the neck early Thursday during a suspected domestic incident.

Police Captain John Sherwin says the man was apparently cut by either a knife or scissors and initially went to the Olmsted Medical Center hospital around 3:30 a.m. He was later transferred to St. Mary’s where he was scheduled for surgery. Sherwin says the 24 year old is expected to recover.

Sherwin says it’s believed the man went to a woman’s residence at 620 East Center Street and got into a confrontation with a 23 year old woman, who may be an ex-girlfriend.

She was brought in for questioning and may face felony assault charges.
