Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police early Tuesday arrested a 19-year-old man who is suspected of being the person who shot three people Monday, killing one and injuring the other two.

Taken into custody around 6 a.m. after an all night standoff at a residence in Faribault was Courtney Ocegueda of Rochester.

Police Captain John Sherwin says he was a robbery victim earlier in the day at the Rochester Square Apartments complex along 31st Street NE. Sherwin says he was robbed at gunpoint around noon but was not very cooperative with investigators.

Sherwin says it’s believed the two who robbed him were among the three who were shot two hours later. The man who died was identified as 22-year-old Trumane Gillmore of Rochester. Sherwin says he was shot in the head and died at the scene. The other shooting victims suffered graze wounds to their upper bodies and one was also struck in the leg. One is from Rochester while the other has a Chicago address.

The shooting happened just after 2 p.m. while the victims were playing basketball on a street at the Parkside Mobile Home Park, located near McQuillan Park. Sherwin says more than 10 rounds were fired and at least one residence and one vehicle were hit by bullets.
