Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A convicted serial burglar from the Twin Cities area was arrested Wednesday night - on suspicion of being a serial burglar in the Rochester area.

Taken into custody was 43 year old Brian Stefan Williams. Police Captain John Sherwin says he recently became a suspect in a spree of commercial burglaries in Rochester and was put under surveillance.  Sherwin says it paid off as officers took him into custody after he was suspected of burglarizing two businesses in Dodge County, one in Kasson and the other in Dodge Center.

He is also expected to be charged with two recent Rochester break-ins but Sherwin says more charges are possible as investigators are trying to link him to the 100 or more commercial burglaries reported in the city since the beginning of the year.

Williams was sentenced to 5 years in prison on a Carver County burglary conviction in October 2013 but has been on intensive supervised release after an early discharge.  Sherwin says Williams has been living in Rochester, although he lied to his PO about his actual address.
