Rochester Police Investigating Downtown Assault
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man was taken to St. Marys Hospital early Monday after being knocked out during a fight in the downtown.
The fight was reported around 2:30 a.m. near the corner of South Broadway and Historic Third Street.
Officers arrived to find the victim suffering from a head injury. He told officers he was knocked out while fighting with another man. Witnesses say the victim hit his head when he fell to the ground and that the other man began kicking him.
The 23-year-old victim was treated at the ER but refused further assistance.
Officers later arrested 19-year-old Mujahiddeen Abdulaziz and he is expected to face a felony assault charge.
