Rochester Police Officer Hurt in Traffic Crash
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester police officer was injured Monday after his unmarked vehicle was hit by a minivan that ran a red light.
Sgt. Eric Strop was on Civic Center Dr and driving through the Broadway intersection when his vehicle was hit during the noon hour. He was taken to St. Marys Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. His car was apparently totaled.
The other driver was ticketed for running the red light. 37-year-old Fadumo Ahmed was also taken to St Marys to be checked out.
