Undated (KROC-AM News) - A report released Thursday by the U.S. Census shows Rochester’s population grew by just under 700 people last year.

The Census estimates show that, as of last July, Rochester was home to just over 111,400 people. That works out to a growth rate of 6-tenths of a percent. Since the last Census was conducted, Rochester’s estimated population has grown 4.4-percent, or by about 4,600 people.

Minnesota’s largest city, Minneapolis, added over 6,500 people last year and now has a population estimated at over 407,000, while St. Paul’s population grew by a little over 2,000 to about 297,600 residents.
