It's as if they planned it this way: Just as a heatwave is taking aim at the Med City, one Rochester swimming pool is set to open this weekend.

That's right, we're in for some good, 'ol fashioned hot weather this weekend. Many weather forecasters are calling for temperatures in Rochester to hit the mid 90's on Saturday, and along with that, higher humidity and dew points are also in the forecast. (Which is what makes it feel so sticky!)

In fact, if we hit a high of over 94, we'll do something that hasn't been done since 2013 this weekend. (You can read more about that weather phenomenon HERE.)

But never fear, here's one way you can keep your cool this weekend: Rochester's Soldiers Field Swimming Pool is slated to open. According to the Parks and Rec website, June 10th is the pool's opening day. (But only the Soldiers Field Pool; the Silver Lake Pool isn't scheduled to open until Monday.)

And as long as the temperature's above 70, you're in business. Weather permitting, the pool is set to be open from noon to 8 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
