Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester teenager was arrested Wednesday after whacking a man over the head with a tree branch.

Police say the 35-year-old Rochester man was drinking some beer at Bear Creek Park around 2:30 p.m. when the teenager walked up.

The 17-year old asked the man for some beer and when he refused, the teen picked up a branch and hit him. The man called police and the teen ran off but was caught a short while later.

Police say the man was treated for a “significant eye injury.”
