During the sub-zero, maybe you can't get to a warming center, so Rochester now has Rolling Warming Centers.

According to Jenna Bowman, from the City of Rochester,

From January 28- February 1, Rochester Public Transit (RPT) buses will offer free service for anyone needing a ride to stay warm. There is nothing needed other than to let the driver know you are using the bus due to the cold weather.

So just let the driver know you need to get warm, and you're all good. That's huge.

What else should you know about?

  • The Rochester Salvation Army Winter Warming Center is open 24/7 today and tomorrow (the 29th and 30th). They're at 20 NE First Avenue Community Center.
  • If you're in or near Kasson, Becky's Community Closet, 19 Main Street West in Kasson, has opened as a warming center for those in the area that are in need of a warm place to go.  Find out more by clicking HERE.
