If you watch the show 'American Ninja Warrior' on NBC, make sure you're watching this Monday night (July 25th) as a Rochester athlete will once again make an appearance!

In case you missed it earlier, Andrew (or 'Roo') Yori (known on the show as the 'K9 Warrior') lives right here in the Med City and works at Mayo Clinic. He's already appeared on the show, competing in Indianapolis, and did well enough to advance to the Indianapolis city finals, which air this coming Monday night.

And, if you haven't ever seen the show, American Ninja Warrior is basically an athletic competition that features several different, totally insane obstacle courses. Very few of the athletes -- who are all incredibly ripped, mind you -- actually successfully complete the course.

But Rochester's Roo Yori did. Which is pretty cool. But that's not the best part. While he works by day as a lab technician at Mayo Clinic, he's also a big dog adoption advocate too, working to help find forever homes for homeless pets. His Facebook page says, "I compete in Ninja Warrior competitions to bring awareness to homeless dogs that need good homes." And, his Wallace The Pit Bull Foundation has already garnered a ton of attention. What a great guy!

So, this coming Monday, we'll find out if he takes the next step on his road to Mount Midoriyama and the American Ninja Warrior finals. We're rooting for you, Andrew!

What's even cooler is that we had him in-studio and he had some great things to say about how and why he got involved with American Ninja Warrior, as well as talking about how he trained for it and what the future holds for him in the sport. We got all that good stuff right here...
