Everyone loves dogs, so it shouldn't be a shock to hear that a 9-year-old Great Pyrenees was elected mayor of Cormorant, Minnesota - for the third time! This rumor is true.

I love that this is his third time being elected! haha!! He even got voters to pay to pay for him! The Huffington Post explains, "In a vote held over the weekend, the 9-year-old Great Pyrenees won his third consecutive term as mayor of Cormorant, Minnesota. Voters paid $1 each to cast ballots in the election, which was held during the annual “Cormorant Daze” festival."

If I were going to trust a dog breed to be mayor, it'd certainly be a Great Pyrenees... great is in their name! Would you trust a dachshund? Or, a golden retriever? I didn't think so.

This is too cute, but we'll have to wait to see if Duke runs for mayor again. Something tells me that if he does, he'll win!
