Second Arrest in Rochester Carjack Case
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police have made a second arrest in connection to a recent carjacking. And like the first arrest, this suspect was found near the scene of the crime in the Meadow Park neighborhood.
Officers arrested 27 year old Ali Khalif Abdibudul in an apartment in the 1500 block of 4th Avenue SE Thursday.That’s close to where a man was threatened by three men and had his car stolen two weeks ago.The other suspect was apprehended last week.
Police say the victim drove to the 1400 block of 4th Avenue SE to buy some drugs on April 23rd. Three men got into his car and one flashed a knife while another held a gun to the victim’s head, demanding money. The man was able to run away and when he returned, his car was gone. It was later recovered.
Like the first arrest, police received a tip that led to the suspect.
The search continues for the third suspect.
