Rochester, MN - (KROC AM News) - A rural Rochester home was hit by a shotgun slug last week while the owners were sleeping.

The owners found a broken window on the main floor when they got up around 8 a.m. Thanksgiving Day and spotted the slug on the ground outside the home.

The slug entered through an exterior wall, passed through the living room and then hit the window frame. The owners told Olmsted County investigators they were in an upstairs bedroom at the time.

It’s believed the shot was fired between midnight and 1 a.m.

The residence is located in the 8500 block of 11th Ave NW.
