Spring In Minnesota: What A Difference A Few Days Make

You've no doubt heard the phrase, "If you don't like the weather in Minnesota, wait five minutes and it'll change." That's really ringing true right now, as high temperatures today have certainly changed-- and are only half of what they were just 4 days ago.

Yes, last Friday was the perfect Spring day, wasn't it? There was gorgeous sunshine all over the place and temperatures across southeast Minnesota were in the upper 70's. It even felt a little like -- gasp -- summer! Did you get out and enjoy it?

My wife and I did. To celebrate, after I got off the air, we mixed up a few martinis, whipped up a few snacks, and headed to the deck to enjoy a Friday night in the open Spring air. Much like everyone else, during our fleeting summer months, we try to get outside as much as possible. Friday marked our inaugural 'happy hour' outside on the deck.

Last night and this morning, however? There was sleet and some snow on the deck. And unless things REALLY warm up by Friday, it looks like we'll be headed back inside to enjoy a lovely beverage. Come spring, get it together, already, will ya?
