State Highway Spring Weight Restrictions Take Effect This Week
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A note to area truckdrivers - spring weight restrictions on state highways begin Wednesday in Minnesota's south, southeast and metro frost zones.
The restrictions will take effect Thursday in the central zone and Friday in the north central and north zones.
The Minnesota Transportation Department issues the restrictions in an effort to prevent damage to roads that are weakened during the spring thaw.
Counties issue their own restrictions.
