Starting this Monday, April 11th, there will be a major crackdown in southeast Minnesota and all of Minnesota. It was announced that the state patrol and all law enforcement agencies in Minnesota will be cracking down on distracted drivers.

If they see you at intersections looking down at your phone, you'll get a ticket. If you're weaving all over the road, like I see a LOT, you'll get a ticket. Statistics show that distracted driving in Minnesota resulted in 17,400 crashes last year. Let that sink in for a moment. 17,400 crashes. Out of those crashes, 74 people died and there were 174 serious injuries. The worst part was is that a lot of those crashes killed or injured people who weren't being distracted. They were just going about their normal day.

Seriously, put the phone away. And if you can't, I won't feel sorry for you when you have to give up $275 of your hard earned money for the ticket. ($50 for your first offense.) So there. - Alan
