Stewartville, MN  (KROC AM News) - A Stewartville teenager had a close call Thursday.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says the 15-year-old was riding his longboard when he decided to grab onto a friend’s car as it drove away. The teen was pulled an unknown distance when he lost control and crashed.

The teen - who was not wearing protective clothing -  suffered a head injury and went to St. Marys Hospital. The sheriff’s office described the injury as non-life threatening.

The car was doing about 15 mph when the teen crashed. A 16-year-old was driving the car but won’t be charged because he was not aware the other teen had grabbed onto the vehicle.
