Ever been out at a restaurant where you're really looking forward to having a certain item on their menu, only to be told they're out? It's a bummer, sure. But I'll bet you didn't react like THIS guy did.

According to a story on Pennlive.com, it seems that Kevin Nelson of Amsterdam, New York, was traveling through Pennsylvania. He'd stopped at a travel plaza restaurant and wanted some macaroni and cheese. Now, keep in mind this was at 10:30 Monday night. The restaurant, sadly (but not all that unsurprisingly, seeing as it was 10:30 at night), was out. Kevin didn't take the news well. In fact, according to the story...

"When he was told the restaurant was sold out of macaroni and cheese, police said Nelson became 'angry and agitated and began to curse out loud at employees,' according to a news release from the police. Nelson ordered some coffee at the Starbucks in the plaza and then returned to the Roy Rogers and attempted to order some potatoes, police said. 'After he was told they were sold out of potatoes he again started to curse at the employees and began to throw condiments over the counter,' police said."

I know firsthand how disappointing it can be when a restaurant runs out of the dish you wanted to order-- and it happened to this guy twice. It's happened a couple of times to a casual fast-food place here in Rochester (that shall remain nameless) when my wife and I have been there. It's not fun. It makes you frustrated, sure. But thankfully, I've never gone off the deep end like this guy did. Well, yet, anyway.

Have you ever been at a restaurant when they've run out of something you wanted to order?
