Undated (KROC-AM News) - A respected economic report has found business supply managers in Minnesota are cautious about the outlook over the next few months.

The new Mid-America Business Conditions Survey shows the state’s overall economic index dropped about a point from March to 49.8 last month. Any reading below 50 is considered an indicator of weakening economic conditions. The employment component of the index, which covers the manufacturing sector, dropped to 45 in April.

The author of the report noted Minnesota has seen a net gain of only about 100 manufacturing jobs over the past 12 months.
