Remember last week’s winter storm that hit southeast Minnesota and earlier predictions that it could dump 3- 7 inches of snow in the region - maybe even more?
Weather conditions took a sudden turn for the worse in the Rochester area around 4:30 Thursday morning as freezing rain developed and temperatures nosedived.
Rochester has been removed from the winter storm warning issued Wednesday by the National Weather Service, apparently because the threat of heavy snow has lessened.
Talk about good timing by Mother Nature. Winter officially begins Thursday morning in the Rochester area and that’s when we are being told to expect the first significant snow event since March 12th.
