If you love some of Minnesota's many great craft beers and would like to sample them -- and not have to line up a ride home -- then check out this light rail brewery tour going on this summer in the Twin Cities.

It's called the Rails & Ales Light Rail Brewery Tour, and it's being put on by Twin Cities company GetKnit Events from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on August 27th, in partnership with Metro Transit in Minneapolis. The website says your $35 ticket gets you a ride on the Green Line light rail in Minneapolis as it stops at 12 different breweries along the way!

According to a release about the event, you also get 2 free pints of craft beer, a t-shirt, discounts and food and merchandise, plus a free ride on the light rail. It sounds pretty fun!

Here's the thing, though: It sells out. Last year's crawl sold out all 1,000 tickets. This year, organizers are selling and extra 250 tickets, but they expect those will all sell out, as well.

You can get more information about the Rails & Ales Light Rail Brewery Tour HERE. If you like craft beer (like I do), this sounds like a great time! On a somewhat smaller scale, my wife and I and some friends toured all the craft breweries here in Rochester back in March on the Rochester Trolley Brewery Tour and had a great time.  Bottom's up!
