Living here in Minnesota, we're fairly used hearing and seeing some of the more unique towns and city names that are native to the Land of 10,000 Lakes. But how many of these weird 18 names are you familiar with?

According to the folks at Estately Blog, these are the 18 'Most Oddly-Named Towns' in Minnesota. Topping their list? Little Canada. Really? I don't think that one is all that odd, especially when you consider that Minnesota shares its northern border with Canada.

Some of these other names seem more odd to me than that. Check out their other 17 choices for weirdest Minnesota town names:

Ball Club, Blue Earth, Clam Falls, Clappers, Climax, Embarrass, Good Thunder,Little Canada, Luck, Motley, Mound, Ottertail, Nimrod, Pillager, Sleepy Eye, Staples, Twig, Winner.

I don't know about you, but I'd go with 'Nimrod' as the weirdest town name in Minnesota. Of course, weird town names are limited to just our state. Estately Blog has listed the weirdest town names for each state.

Back in my home state of Wisconsin, they list the town of 'Chili' as the weirdest name. Although I'd vote for one of their other choices, that being 'Cheat Lake.' I'm guessing that might have to do with fishing, but it certainly is out there!
