It was the ultimate epic battle of the forks -- and stomachs -- at Carlos O'Kelly's in Rochester at noon on Friday!

Yes, it was me against Quick Country 96.5 listener Andrew Woodfin of West Concord. Our mission? To tackle the official Carlos O'Kelly's 'El Guapo' Challenge menu of 5 enchiladas and one taco. Oh yeah-- we only had 10 minutes to do it.

Now, going in, I'll admit, I had my doubts. I can put away the food, mind you, but I'm just not a real fast eater. (Now if this was a beer-drinking contest, I'd be a shoe-in to win!) Andrew, on the other hand, said he was confident he could do it, saying he learned to eat quickly during basic training. (Andrew, by the way, aside from being a great guy and fearless eating competitor, has my extreme gratitude for his service to our country while in the United States Air Force!)

So, while my confidence was already a little shaky, when they brought the pan of enchiladas and tacos out, I became even more concerned about my being able to accomplish this task. Did I do it? Or was I put to shame by Andrew's incredible talents in the eating department? Check that for yourself right here...

And, if you want to try the El Guapo Challenge yourself, you can do it, during Cinco de Mayo (that'd be Tuesday, May 5th) at Carlos O'Kelly's, on Highway 52 here in Rochester!
