So just who has the most Minnesota-esque accent? That's what Stephen Colbert's Late Show attempted to find out last week with the Late Show Accent-Off: Minnesota Edition.

The show's website said the online video challenge was the "accent battle to end all Minnesota accent battles."  According to the Star Tribune, the online spoof featured  "Duluth comedian Maria Bamford (“can de-ice a windshield in less than 20 seconds”) against Minnesota native and “Late Show” writer Ariel Dumas (“knows Joe Mauer’s cousin”)."

And while the now-infamous Minnesota accents they both display here are a little over the top, check out all the different references to the Land of 10,000 Lakes they both rattle off (including those two bottles of Grain Belt they knock back at the end!). It's pretty entertaining-- even if it IS a bit of an exaggeration on how we sound up here in da nort. You betcha!
