He is, of course, the noted Scotsman, Ewan McGregor. And, and during a promotional tour put on by the Television Critics Association recently, McGregor related just how tough it can be trying to sound like he's from here in Minnesota.

Why is he even trying to sound Minnesotan? Well, that'd be because he's starring in the third season of 'Fargo' on FX, and in it, he plays the Stussy brothers, who are, of course, Minnesota natives.

Now while previous seasons of the show have been set in the 70's, season three is actually set not that long ago, in 2010. But no matter what year in which the show is set, McGregor said getting the our Minnesota accent accurate was a tough thing to do.

"The challenge is to, first of all, master that accent, which is very, very difficult,” he said, according to E News in a Go-MN story. “It’s a very strange accent to lock into, as a non-American. It’s the hardest accent I’ve ever done, and I’ve done Dutch once. This is worse. And it’s very familiar… Our audience’s ear is attuned to it," he said.

So what do you think? Is sounding 'Minnesotan' tough to do? I think it might be tougher for us to try to do a Scottish accent...
