With the huge signing bonuses and salaries most NFL players make these days, there aren't too many who don't own one, if not several cars. Except for this Minnesota Viking, that is. He walks to work everyday because he doesn't have a car of his own!

So just which Viking is it that doesn't own a car?!? Well, that'd be Moritz Böhringer, the Vkings' rookie wide receiver from Germany. He's walked to the Vikings Winter Park headquarters in Eden Prairie everyday-- because he doesn't own car.

So, it must be only a few blocks that he walks each day, right? Wrong! Try 3-miles -- each way! That's right, according to this CBS Sports story, Moritz has been hoofing it nearly 6 miles each day in his quest to make the Vikings squad this year.

Now THAT'S dedication! For the record, the story said his contract was worth about $150,000 -- so he could easily buy a car -- but he said he's trying to save money. So he walks.

Well, he DID walk. The Vikings are now in training camp in Mankato, so Moritz is staying in the dorms with the rest of the team. And, I'm guessing, if he officially makes the team, he'll probably splurge a little and buy himself a car. Still, it's an interesting story. Check it out:
