According to this WCCO-TV story, the Timberwolves will wear a special commemorative patch on their uniform this season to honor their longtime coach, as well as wearing special warm-up jerseys this season.

The story says, "Timberwolves officials said the patch will be worn for the first time on Monday, Nov. 2, which is the team’s home opener against the Portland Trail Blazers at Target Center. The patch will be on the jersey for the rest of the season.

The Timberwolves will also wear a special warm-up shirt during all games in November that says “WE,” symbolizing the team’s togetherness. The shirt is gray with black lettering and has the name “Flip” across the heart side of the shirt. It will be worn Wednesday night as the Timberwolves open the season in Los Angeles against the Lakers," the story said.

The story also said the NBA will also honor Saunders the season by having all coaches across the league wear special "Flip" pins on their lapels.

Saunders was only 60 when he passed away Sunday after a four-month battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
