Today Is…National Pie Day!

Today is "National Pie Day". It's also Measure Your Feet Day, National Rhubarb Day and National Handwriting Day. I think I'll celebrate the pie day thing.

Pies have been around for centuries. Everyone has a favorite pie, too. Some of my favorites are blueberry and apple, but pecan is right up there, too.

My sister Chris, who lives in Kasson, makes the best banana cream and coconut cream pies in the universe as we know it. I always get excited when she serves up those.
