There were a couple of vehicle wrecks handled by the Minnesota State Patrol Saturday afternoon in southeastern Minnesota.

The first one occured around 1:10 Saturday afternoon.  According to the state patrol report, a 20 year old Lanesboro man, Zachary Voeltz, was injured when his Jeep left Highway 14 east of St. Charles in Winona County and overturned.  

He was transported to St. Mary’s hospital with non- life threatening injuries. Alcohol was detected according to the report.

Then around 4:45 p.m., a motorcycle was eastbound on Highway 16 in Rushford when it collided with a car leaving a Kwik Trip gas station parking lot according to the State Patrol report.

The motorcycle driver,  46 year old William Starks from Altura and his passenger, 45 year old Cori Lynn Hollingshead of Rochester were transported to St. Mary’s with non-life threatening injuries.  The driver of the car, 87 year old Alma Syvertson of Whalen, Minnesota was not injured.
