Orono, MN (Learfield Wire Service) -- Emergency responders in Minnesota report two people apparently drowned in swimming accidents Saturday evening, while a third person was rescued.

The first report came from Long Lake in Orono where a woman was pulled from the water at about 7:00 p-m, but couldn't be revived. Another report came in a few minutes later from Lake Minnetonka. Earlier in the day, a three-year-old boy was taken to a hospital for treatment after being rescued from Lake Alexander.

The names of the two apparent drowning victims and the rescued child have not been released.
