Dashcam Captures Car Careening off Side of Mountain – [VIDEO]

Yikes! Can you watch this dashcam video of a car speeding along a winding mountain road -- and then careening off the side -- without cringing?

This video strikes home with me, thanks to the trip my wife and I took a trip out to northern California last October. We flew into San Francisco and then drove up the coast to the Redwood National Forest near Arcata, and purposely took Highway 1 -- the road that takes you right along the edge of the rocky California coast in spots -- to enjoy the incredible scenery you just can't get here in Minnesota.

Let me tell you, though, Highway 1 in northern California's Humboldt County along the coast is really narrow. And filled with sharp curves. And is right along some very steep drop-offs, too. Thankfully, our rented Chevy Traverse, while it was a great vehicle, wouldn't quite go as fast as this car seems to be traveling. Well, it might have, but I wasn't quite dumb enough to do with this guy did.
