Damage from a fire earlier this week at a historic baseball diamond in southern Minnesota has now been captured in a new video.

In case you haven't heard, the grandstand at Tink Larson field in Waseca caught fire and burned pretty much to the ground Wednesday. The field was named for -- and cared for -- by longtime Waseca baseball coach Tink (whose real first name is Clinton) Larson. Tink himself, who lives across the street from the historic field on 7th St. in Waseca, watched, horrified, as the structure went up in flames earlier this week.

“It was terrible, devastating. Fifty years of my life just went up in smoke. It’s sad, it [the ballpark] was part of me,” Larson said, in a Star-Tribune story.

The story also notes the state fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze, and that while the grandstand burned, the field itself was spared, and will still be used this year. "High school, American Legion, VFW and town teams will play there this spring and summer," an official said in the story.

The historic baseball park was first built in 1938. The story says there are already several different groups committed to raising funds to rebuild the grandstand. Check out this drone video that shows how much damage the fire did to the historic structure...
