Man Tries World’s Longest Water Slide! [Video]

If you're looking to cool off during our fleeting summer months, heading to Silver Lake or Soldier's Field Pool are always a good time. So is heading to Foster Arend Beach. Or maybe Soak City at Valley Fair. And if you've been to Wisconsin Dells -- America's Water Park Capital -- you know there are lots of water parks to keep you cool. But none of those locations has the World's Longest Water Slide!

That distinction would go to Schlitterbahn Park in Kansas City, where park officials say they're putting the finishing touches on The Verrückt - the world’s largest water slide. The ride isn't yet open -- the story from THIS Kansas City TV station says they're still doing safety checks -- but they did release a video of a guy trying it out.
