After a hot and sticky weekend in southeast Minnesota, here's story about a Vikings fan that will cool you off.

It's the story of self-proclaimed Vikings super fan Andrew Davis. According to the Vikings website, Davis is a big fan. And, he just happens to be an avid mountain climber, too. But it's what he does when he reaches the top of the mountain that got the Vikings' attention.

When Davis heads up various mountains, he not only brings along his climbing gear, but he also includes some Vikings gear, too-- including a big Vikings flag, which he then triumphantly plants at the summit of each mountain he climbs.

"I’m just a die-hard Vikings fan," Davis said on the Vikings site. "It’s become kind of a tradition that whenever I climb a mountain, I bring an American flag and a Vikings flag or Vikings pennant," Davis said, in the story.

Davis most recently was climbing Cho Oyu, which is the sixth-tallest mountain in the world. It's about 12 miles from Mount Everest in the Himalayas, and its peak stands at 26,906 feet. Oh, and it's cold, too. "On the day he reached the peak, Davis said the temperature was minus-25 degrees with 85 mile per hour winds," the story said.
