Weekend Crash Claims Life of Austin Teenager
Waseca, MN (KROC-AM News) - One Austin teenager is dead and another is being treated for serious injuries after the car they were in crashed late Saturday night on Highway 14 near Waseca.
The State Patrol says 19-year-old Helayna Nguyen suffered fatal injuries. She was taken to a Twin Cities hospital after the 11:30 p.m. rollover and died Sunday morning. The Patrol says she was not wearing a seat belt.
She was a passenger in the car that was driven by a 17-year-old female whose name has not been released. She is being treated at St. Mary’s.
