The second season of the TV series 'Fargo' is underway, with the action set again here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. So just what are some show's stars favorite Minnesota sayings?

If you're not familiar, the TV show takes its name, and was inspired by, the 1996 Cohen brothers movie. According to this MPR article,

"The second season is only loosely connected to the first, which was set in present-day Bemidji, Minn., and Duluth. This season is set in Luverne, Minn., and Sioux Falls, S.D., in 1979. Patrick Wilson plays police officer Lou Solverson, who we saw an older version of in season one — the wise and kindly diner owner and father to Molly Solverson, the hero of the first season."

So, much like the movie version and first season, there are a few Minnesota accents on display. Several cast members spoke to The Hollywood Reporter last week, and were asked what their favorite “Minnesota-ism” are. Any guesses? If you said, "Uff da!" you'd be correct.

BringMeTheNews reports that many of the stars wished their character would be able to utter that famous Minnesota phrase.

“I like ‘uff da,'” Kirsten Dunst, who plays Peggy Blumquist, said. “I don’t get to say it – other people do – but that’s one of my favorite phrases.” I begged for one of those,” said Jean Smart, who plays Floyd Gerhardt. “I did not get one. I said, ‘I don’t get to say a ‘you betcha’ or ‘oh jeez’ or an ‘uff da’?’ I’ll trade you one ‘uff da.’ My character’s a little too serious for that.”

Do the accents sound a little too over-the-top to you? Here's the trailer for the second season (which is already underway, Monday nights on FX).
