With Mother's Day being Sunday, somebody (with a lot of spare time on their hands, apparently) compiled a state-by-state list of the phrases and terms most commonly searched-for by moms. So, just what are moms here in Minnesota searching for online?

Well, according to this article from the folks at Estately, moms here in Minnesota most often search for 'mom blogs.' Yep, that's it. Or, 'MOM brands.' Seems consistent with our Midwest upbringing, and 'Minnesota nice,' doesn't it?

It does -- especially when you look at what moms are searching for on Google in other states. Behind the cheddar curtain to our east over in Wisconsin, moms are most often Googling “Mama Tried” (the Merle Haggard song) or mother-son dances or Mother’s Day projects.

The site says that in Texas, moms are most often searching for  "mom jokes."  In Mississippi, it's "yo mama jokes."  Does that mean those southern moms do have a more developed sense of humor that moms here in Minnesota? Maybe they just like to laugh at themselves more.

Just be glad, though, that our moms aren't searching for what Utah mom's are Googling: "mom jeans." (Maybe it's how NOT to buy them.)
