The regular NFL season is still a few weeks away, but preparations for next February's Super Bowl 52 at U.S. Bank Stadium are in full swing-- and they need more volunteers.

That's right, Minnesota's Super Bowl Host Committee is putting out the call for more volunteers to help work at various venues around the Twin Cities in advance of Super Bowl 52, which is set for February 4th.

According to this KTTC-TV story, the committee is looking for 10,000 volunteers to "serve at gathering points like airports, skyways, and hotels as well as Super-Bowl related events."

The official Crew 52 site lists the requirements for being a volunteer:

  • Must be friendly, warm, outgoing and knowledgeable about Minnesota
  • Guest service oriented
  • Willing to be flexible and help in all areas
  • Must be at least 18 years old when you apply

And, the site says, you have to be able to work a minimum of three shifts, ranging from 4-6 hours each between January 27th and February 4th.

Here's the thing, though: You won't actually get into the stadium or be able to see the game. And you won't get paid, either. (That's right, the billionaire NFL owners and millionaire players want you to VOLUNTEER your time.)

They will give you what they're calling a "Volunteer Uniform Kit" that includes jacket, polo, backpack and "more."

If you're interested, you can get all the details and apply to be a volunteer HERE.
